Listening to public radio this morning (March 21), this earnest, humorless interviewer has on an opinion writer for an elite newspaper, touching on what he (the writer) can touch on, the edge of the abyss, skirting it, taking some tentative steps toward peering down inside, deeply knowing that the matrons of the boardroom are on high alert for anything remotely radical, be certain to give the benefit of the doubt to the ethos of better business.

Remember when newspapers would solicit remarks upon reports of the Better Business Bureau? Ha!

Maybe even some of it was legit, not a mask for the prospect of more profits, at all costs.

It is all that we have.

That business will by its nature build pathways to righteousness.

Since my earliest social consciousness I’ve watched this race to the “B.”

Business.

Can’t trust Labor (Mob). Or Government workers (Talentless Thieves). Or Educators (Closet Marxists).

Please your bets, stack those chips, on Business.

And, yeah, damn the consequences.
